Small parties. Serious dog work. Alabama Black Belt country.
DGC hunts are designed around the rhythm of a traditional Southern quail hunt: dogs ranging ahead, a steady point in the cover, the party moving into position, and the flush and retrieve unfolding as it should.
Only one hunting party is hosted at a time. Party sizes range from two to six hunters, allowing the day to remain personal and manageable in the field.

Meet the guide, review the day’s plan, confirm safety expectations, and prepare equipment.
Pointers hunt ahead while the guide reads the course, cover, wind, and dog work. Water and snacks are kept on the wagon.
The party moves into position; flushing and retrieving dogs finish the sequence.
Full-day parties break for field lunch. At departure, processed and frozen birds are packed in cooler bags for the trip home.
Each half-day is a 2.5-3 hour hunt. A full day includes two hunts. Weather, dogs, birds, cover, and shooting affect opportunity; no hunt is a harvest guarantee.

DGC promises a professionally guided, dog-centered experience, personal service, and thoughtful hospitality. The quality of the day rests in the dog work, the time spent in the field, and the care given to every guest.
Weather, birds, dogs, cover, and shooting are living parts of the hunt. DGC does not guarantee shot opportunities or a particular harvest.
