The DGC promise

Three things should define every hunt.

The dogs

First-String Dogs

The hunt is built around disciplined pointing, flushing, and retrieving work—not just the shooting over each covey.

The welcome

First-Class Hospitality

One party at a time, personal attention, a field lunch on full-day hunts, and personally coordinated trip planning.

The experience

Damn Good Company

Traditional Southern quail hunting should feel personal, unhurried, and worth coming back to.

The hunt

Built around the dogs.

Experienced dog work is the center of the DGC field experience. Pointers locate the birds. Cockers bring speed, energy, and purpose to the flush and retrieve. The shooting is important, but the whole process is what makes the hunt.

The DGC name

Three initials. More than one honest explanation.

Dogs. Guns. Coveys. describes the field. First-String Dogs. First-Class Hospitality. Damn Good Company. describes the experience.

DGC. The letters have more than one meaning. With each one, there's a little wink behind the explanation. "Same letters, different wink." Wink, the cocker behind the DGC mark, gives that phrase another meaning. "Same letters, different Wink." The complete story explains how the same three letters can fit the hunt, the hospitality, and the company.

About DGC

A Hunt built on years of experience.

Years of hands-on work in a successful quail-hunting operation shaped the standards behind DGC. The business is independent and owner-built, but the practical lessons are carried forward: serious dog work, careful field preparation, personal service, and a hunt worth remembering.
